Beginning of Revival

God is doing AWESOME things in our church!!!! This past weekend we had a Bible Study/Soul Winning Seminar with Pastor Jason Varnum and Evangelist Joey Campetella called iGo. Words can't even begin to describe how amazing it was (you can watch the 2 day seminar at http://cornerstonefortworth.org/). It opened my eyes in so many ways. And then Sunday.......OH MY WORD....Sunday was INCREDIBLE! We kicked-off revival services with Evg. Joey Campetella and we had six baptized and five receive the Holy Ghost in the Sunday morning service, and Sunday night was life changing in so many ways. God is fulfilling His promises! So many prayers are being answered! I am in awe of God! Some people live their life with no purpose at all, but I'm so glad to have a purpose and a reason to live, and Oh, what a reason! :o) Here are a few pictures. I didn't get my phone out in time because it was halfway across the church. :o)

Well, that's it for now. :o)

My life on Monday...

Some people hate Monday's, but I LOVE them. :o) Every Monday we (Me, my Mom, Lianna, and the lady who gets it all together, Kay, and sometimes Kay's daughter) go out into the community and feed the homeless, and every other Monday we also go to the Boy's & Girl's Club. Monday's happen to be the most rewarding day of the week for me personally, because I get to see how it takes such small things to make some people so happy, things we take for granted every single day. When feeding the homeless, sometimes it can get a bit scary, especially when you go on gang territory, like we did today. Just imagine a car full of white woman (and my brother) pulling up into a parking lot filled with gang members. :o) The amazing thing is people are so open to you...as long as you're not preachy.:o) All we have to do is say a prayer with them, give them their food, and whatever they need, and they will open up. A couple weeks ago we met a very honest 21 year old young lady, Julia, standing at a red light holding a sign saying, "Pregnant. Need help." Well, we were a couple cars back and the light was still red, so we called her over and as soon as she seen us she asked if we had any food, well we gave her a big bag of goodies we make to hand out to the homeless, and she thanked us over and over again, as she was walking off Kay frantically called her back, while we were sitting still at what was now a green light with a line of cars behind, and said, "We forgot to pray for you!" So, Julia bowed her head, and as soon as Kay started praying the tears just flowed...not just her tears, but everyone in the car. So after that day we kept praying for her, and Kay seen her one day while on her way to minister at the hospital. Well, today we all went to search for her again, and we found her. Because of her addiction to drugs she had lost her baby, and the poor girl was hurting so bad! My Mom and Kay talked to her for about an hour, her tears were flowing. She wants a change in her life so bad, but she is so scared and embarrassed. Kay called around trying to find her a shelter where she could stay that also has a detoxing clinic to help with her addiction, and they found a couple places and we are hoping that she can get into one of them by tomorrow. There is a special place in my heart for Julia, and I praying that God will draw her heart to Him. The poor girl was so dirty and wearing clothes from 2 weeks ago, so when I went to give her a hug she acted really surprised that I would actually get close to her, I may have scared her when I said, "Oh, you're fine! Let me give you a hug!" :o) What I'm most excited about is that she has Kay's number and wants her to pick her up for church Sunday!!! Oh, and also there are about more homeless who want to come as well! Isn't that AWESOME?! And this is why I LOVE Monday's!!! :o)
